The Homestuck Timeline Project
Charts for alternate timelines are in progress.
What is all of this?
These timelines are spreadsheets intended as a resource to track which characters are doing what and when. Because so much of Homestuck's storytelling is set up in parallel, it can get overwhelming. This is a simple way to go through and view things linearly.
Everything is also labeled with page numbers. If you want to find an event or a conversation quickly, try looking for it on the timeline instead of clicking through pages and pages.
How do I use these?
The "Prior to the Beta Kids' Session" chart contains everything that takes place before April 13, 2009. The "Beta Kids' Session" chart spans from April 13, 2009 until the events in [S] Cascade. The "Kids' Exiles" chart spans from WV's first appearance in [2148] until the events in [S] Cascade. The "Midnight Crew Intermission" chart contains everything that takes place in the intermission, as well as any other appearances from the Midnight Crew and Snowman. The "Prior to the Trolls' Session" chart contains everything that takes place before Karkat's introduction at the beginning of Hivebent. The "Trolls' Session" chart spans from Karkat's introduction until the events in [S] Cascade. The "Ancestors" chart spans from the birth of the Alternian universe until the events on page [5971]. Note: This chart also includes Doc Scratch and related company. The "Green Sun" chart spans from [S] Cascade onwards. The "Prior to the Alpha Kids' Session" chart contains everything that takes place before November 11, 2011. The "Alpha Kids' Session" chart spans from November 11, 2011 until the most recent updates.
Chat partners have their initials in regular brackets. (GG), (CG), etc.
Flash animations and games are bolded.
Page numbers are in square brackets. If there are 2+ page numbers separated by a slash (ex. [1926 / 2224]), that means that the same moment is happening, just through a different perspective. In this case it's the same conversation, but we see John's perspective on page 1926 and Dave's on page 2224. If there are 2+ page numbers separated by a comma (ex. [2293, 2297, 2300]), that means the character is still doing the same thing, but perspective has switched to somebody else in between. In this case John is fighting an imp, but perspective keeps switching back and forth to Rose at the same time.
Memos and dream bubbles are labeled alphabetically in the order in which they appear in the comic. (Memo A) (Bubble C) etc.
(1) Means the original Con Air bunny. (2) Means the bunny that Rose knitted. Any other references to the bunny mean the final robot one—Liv Tyler or Terry Kiser or whatever else you would like to call it.
In the Midnight Crew Intermission chart, time jumps are formatted as follows: D or S = Die or Sawbuck 1, 2, 3... = first, second, third, etc. time jump we see in the comic a / b = starting or ending point For example: D 1a = Die's time jump, first one in-comic, starting point S 7b = Sawbuck's time jump, seventh one, ending point
A note: I have not included offshoot timelines in here, except for the brief parts that we see of the alternate Dave who becomes Davesprite. I recommend consulting the recaps [3574, 3888, 5138] or the wiki to understand what happens.
